Wow, it sure is 2009! The new year sure is... pretty much the same. Wait, scratch that, it's AWESOME. I'm excited about the prospects for the new year, things are looking up, I'm currently in Boston hanging out with awesome people, and I've even got consistent art to work on! Yes, I'm working on a project with a friend, and it means that (well, if we were on track) I would be doing a drawing a day! Unfortunately, we've... hit a penny on the tracks. Possibly several. If you collected all the pennies that've catapulted us off of our intended schedule, you'd be a very rich person. But that's okay, because we're getting back on track!
Ahem. Sorry. Anyway, so yeah, I'm doing drawings most days, and this means that my skill is improving (already a noticeable amount!) which is bolstered by the fact that I'm really getting invested in my sketches - they're going up for scrutiny not only by the whole circle of mutual friends between the collaborator and I, but... well, he's gonna be looking at them to, and so I want them to be really good

In summary, I'm very happy to have such a distinct progression of drawings in my sketchbook (I love that Rhodia dearly but I need to replace it - it's just too small

) My first drawing for On the Other Side of the Mirror (our project's name) was awful, and I've already noticeably improved my anatomy - I've gotten my first two favorites of all time, for one of my Mirror drawings

Being in Boston is amazing. I love this city more than any other I've ever seen. I think I'm going to go explore it some. I LOVE THE NORTH.
